Coaching For Therapists

Are you just getting started building your therapy practice? Do you have a calling to serve meaningfully, but you don’t know where to start? Or have you built a practice and now you’re not sure that it aligns with your dreams?

Maybe you know how you want your practice to look, but you aren’t sure how to get there. Perhaps you’re stuck in a rut and want to breathe life back into your calling. Or maybe you’re feeling burnt out and in need of a different direction.

Building A Sustainable Therapy Practice Comes With Challenges

It could be you’ve had a chance to consider your calling, and you’ve realized your current situation is leaving you unsatisfied and unfulfilled. Or perhaps you want to find a way to create a practice that encompasses all of your training, but you’re not sure how to tie it all together. The challenges of starting down a new path might cause you to question if you’re doing the right thing.

If you’re overwhelmed about where to take your business next, coaching can help you build a successful practice for serving clients that aligns with who you are as a therapist.

Many People Are Searching For Meaning In Their Careers

Searching for meaning in our careers is something that people have been doing for generations. For some of us, our search is the result of burnout or overwhelm in a career we don’t love. For others, it’s a passion that takes hold of us and doesn’t let go.

Many healers, including therapists and other types of healers feel called to serve a broken world. After all, there is a lot of chaos in our world, including the pandemic, gun violence, political polarization, war, economic inequality and instability, racial inequity, and more. The world is changing rapidly before our very eyes. More and more people feel called to help, to offer their gifts, and not just sit on the sidelines.

Taking The First Step In A New Direction Is Often The Hardest

All licensed therapists and healing professionals get training for their respective disciplines, but most of them don’t get any coaching on how to turn their training into a business. And when they start trying to figure it out, there are so many options that it’s easy to get overwhelmed with choices.

What’s more, many therapists with an entrepreneurial spirit struggle with self-doubt and imposter syndrome. When you’re doubting yourself and don’t have clarity on the steps you need to take, it’s easier to stay in one place—even if that place isn’t good for you.

If you’re having some of these feelings, you’re not alone. The good news is that the world needs people like you who have a passion to follow and a desire to serve. Opening your own private practice is possible. With coaching designed for healers and therapists, you can take that first step down the path to a meaningful career.

You Can Be Successful Doing The Work You Love

Coaching gives you the space to see blind spots, uncover truths and outdated beliefs, and connect with your passion and mission. I’m passionate about coaching because I’ve walked this path myself. I’m a heart-centered entrepreneur who has gone from working six jobs just to make ends meet to having a six-figure practice that fulfills me.

In order to align your business with your vision, you have to define what success means for you. Coaching can assist with that. This could mean creating a practice that provides financial peace by paying your bills and building towards your future. This could also mean changing direction with your current business, or having an integrated practice that allows for all your skills.

What To Expect In Sessions

For your first session, you will complete an intake questionnaire. This will help me learn more about your personal history, your vision and plan, your successes, and the challenges you  face. Clarity and alignment are key to building a business. I can assist you in aligning what kind of business you want with who you want to serve. After all, I believe that the business side of things does not have to be separate from your desire to help others.

From there, each session will focus on helping you gain clarity for what you want out of your business and turning that clarity into reality. I will also push you to recognize your limitations and assist you in identifying helpful uses of your time and energy.

Discover Strategies Through Coaching Designed For You

In my coaching for therapists, and healers, I find it helpful to bring an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach to our sessions.

IFS can help you understand what parts of you are helping your practice and what parts may be holding you back. This exploration of any negative beliefs, emotional blocks, and energetic patterns that may be preventing you from having a practice you love is crucial to your success.

Successful businesses are right-sized businesses. Together, we will identify what a right-sized business is for you. That means a business model that is sustainable, meets your goals, and connects with your passion.

Coaching can be beneficial no matter where you are in creating your business. If you’re just starting out, I offer a foundations program to help you discover your purpose and put the building blocks in place to open your own private practice. If you’re further along, I offer packages to assist you in digging into the areas that are keeping you from growing or thriving.

This journey has ups and downs. I’m here to walk through those difficulties with you and help you discover the heart of what you have to offer. With coaching, you can create a profitable business and set up your own private practice that is centered on your values, comes from your heart, and works in your life.

But You May Still Have Questions About Coaching For Therapists…

Can I be successful?

In the past few years, private and group psychology practices have started to see a higher demand for mental health treatment.¹ Alternative approaches to healing are joining the mainstream. If mental health, wellbeing, and spiritual health are areas that call to you and drive you to make a difference, you owe it to yourself to try and make it work in your life.

Coaching is too expensive.

It takes time, energy, and attention to build something you care about. Where you devote your energy is where things happen. Sometimes coaching can seem like an expensive investment for therapists, but it helps you generate momentum. And momentum will help you turn things around and generate revenue.

I understand that cost can be a tough factor to work out, so I’ve designed my coaching to be high quality with a very competitive price point. I also offer different options for coaching depending on where you’re at.

I don’t know if I can fit coaching and working on my business into my busy schedule.

Fitting something extra into your life can seem overwhelming. The good news is that my coaching sessions generally only last an hour and most of my clients only spend two to four hours per week outside of session working on their business. That’s only about five hours of time in your weekly schedule.

Plus, coaching can help you figure out the most important things you need to accomplish to gain traction in your business. As a result, you can end up saving time by being more productive with the time you have.
